Grass

In tennis, grass is grown on very hard-packed soil, and bounces may vary depend on how healthy the grass is, how recently it has been mowed, and the wear and tear of recent play. The most famous grass tennis court in the world is Centre Court at Wimbledon. Tennis, however, is generally played on clay courts, and only a a small number of regular tennis tournaments are played on a grass court. The exterior is less firm than rigid courts, causing the ball to spring back lower, and so players must reach the ball quicker. Due to high maintenance costs however, grass courts are now rare as they must be watered and mowed often, and take a longer time to dry after rain than hard courts.

Communalism

Communalism is often connected with various branches of socialism, especially communism (and, in particular, religious communism or primitive communism) and anarchism. The term "communalism" is often used instead of "communism" as a way to indicate those communal societies that are not based on Marxism.

Communalism describes a broad range of social activities and social theories which are in some way centered upon the community. Communalism can take the appearance of communal living or communal property, among others. It is sometimes said to put the interests of the community above the interests of the individual, but this is generally only done on the principle that the community exists for the benefit of the individuals who participate in it, so the best way to serve the interests of the individual is through the interests of the community.
